Wedding Plan Updates


Things are starting to come together quickly! We're meeting with the caterer on this Friday the 17th so check back to see the menu! There are so many delicious hors d'oeuvre and dinner entrees to choose from!

Less Than Two Months To Go!

Chad and I are having lunch with a representative from Celebrations on Friday, March 17 to taste test our menu selections and cakes and also to decide on linens and centerpieces. Then we're meeting with John, our dj from Absolute Entertainment that afternoon! The following morning I have my first gown fitting!!! Karin, Kate, Cait, Maggie, Mom, and I are going to get our hair done at Mason & Friends for the wedding. I'm still working on flowers and photography. :-P Then we'll focus on our vows, our rings, and the reception favors! There's so much going on... so keep checking back! (updated 3/13/06)
Important Details

  • Ceremony: begins 6:00pm
  • Dinner: immediately following
  • Reception: will end at 11:00pm
  • Dress: semi-formal
Gift Registries:

We have set up 4 Gift Registries and we've worked really hard to make sure that every single item is one that we will use and love. (updated 3/13/06)
Bridesmaids:

Tuxes:

The tuxes have all been picked out and paid for. I managed to talk them into measuring Chad and Zach the day we went into After Hours... Now I just need to get my dad and the rest of the groomsmen fitted! Check out the Groomsmen page to see pictures of the tuxes. (updated 3/13/06)
Kristen's Accessories:

I'm not posting a picture of my gown but there are all kinds of other things I need for my wedding day! I added an accessories page! There are pictures of all kinds of tiaras and veils. Let me know what you think! (updated 9/11/05)
Hotel Info:

A block of rooms has been reserved for our wedding guests and free shuttle service will be provided between the hotel and the wedding for all registered hotel guests. Check out the Hotels page for more details. (updated 3/13/06)
Stationery:

The stationery is on its way! I hope it comes in this week so I can coerce friends and family into helping me address them while I'm up in MD this coming weekend! (updated 3/13/06)
Wedding Gown:

After dragging Mom through a half dozen stores and trying on at least 3 million dresses... I picked my favorite 3 from David's and my favorite 3 from Niko's. Then Kate, Dad, and Sheila went with me back to those two stores so I could look at those 6 dresses again. We went to David's first and the dresses were okay... but I didn't love any of them. So we head over to Niko's. Kate came with me and Mom on my second trip to Niko's so she'd seen my three choices from there already so as we're walking out of David's, Kate says to Dad "They're nice... but wait until you see the ones at Niko's. There is just no comparison!" and how right she was! (updated 9/11/05)
Wedding Location:

The ceremony and reception will both be held at Celebrations on the Bay in Pasadena, MD. See pictures of the deck and the ballroom on the Location page! The current plan is for the ceremony to be held on the deck and the reception to be held in the ballroom which has an entire wall of windows which overlook the water. If the weather isn't particularly conducive to an outdoor wedding (whether it be hot or cold or rainy or windy) then the ceremony can be held in the room adjoining the ballroom which also has beautiful windows that overlook the water. Celebrations does their own catering. Dad and Sheila and I tasted some of the food when I was looking at possible sites and it was fantastic! I'm looking forward to working on the menu with Chad after he gets home! (updated 9/11/05)
